You've probably eaten with your friends more times than you can count. But do you know whether they take leftovers home, or whether they'd pick bacon or sausage? We looked at the 100 Food questions on Rikaido's English version and the 255,895 answers quiz creators gave about themselves.
Food questions come from the main edition: a 30-question quiz has five of them. Compared with some other categories, Food doesn't split evenly very often. Only 8 Food questions have a bigger side of 55% or less, against 24 in Real Talk and 23 in Personality. Meanwhile, 18 Food questions have one side at 80% or more. "Photo before you eat?" is No. 1 of all 596 questions for how evenly it splits: "Always" 50%, "Just eat" 50%. "Spicy food: heat or mild?" and "Snack craving: salty or sweet?" come close behind: "Bring the heat" 51% and "Salty" 51%.
"Fast food: burgers or chicken?", "Water or soda at restaurants?" and "Bacon or sausage?" land near the middle too. Neither side is a small minority on any of these: whichever side you're on, plenty of answers went the other way.
"Name brand or store brand?" has fewer answers than most Food questions (1,031, against a Food median of 2,632), so its split could move more as answers come in.

"Chopsticks or fork for sushi?" is No. 1 in Food for how one-sided it is, and No. 4 of all 596 questions, with "Chopsticks" at 94%. "Cake or pie?" goes to "Cake" at 89%, and "Stuffing or mashed potatoes?" to "Mashed" at 88%.
Read the options exactly. "Can friends steal your fries?" is a choice between "Take some" and "Hands off". It asks what creators say about themselves, so 82% for "Take some" doesn't tell you what happens when you actually reach across the table.
In between: a lean, not a landslide
Most Food questions sit between those two groups. One side is ahead, but the other still has plenty of answers.

"Pineapple on pizza?" goes to "Yes" at 62%, and "Is a hot dog a sandwich?" to "No" at 76%. On questions like these, the popular side is the better bet if you know nothing else, but a good share of answers went the other way: 38% on pineapple, for instance. So a friend on the smaller side of one of these isn't unusual.

"Coffee or tea?" leans to "Tea" at 65%, while "Iced or hot coffee?" goes heavily to "Iced" at 88%. "Starbucks or Dunkin?" goes to "Starbucks" (82%), and "Coke or Pepsi?" to "Coke" (80%).
It's tempting to read "Coffee or tea?" and "Iced or hot coffee?" together, but they're separate questions, and different creators may have answered each one. So they can't tell us what the "Tea" side thinks about iced coffee. "Dr Pepper or Mountain Dew?" also has fewer answers than most Food questions (1,079), so treat its split with a little more caution.
If one of these comes up in a quiz
- A close split: betting on the popular answer won't help much. Think about what you've actually seen your friend order.
- A one-sided question: the popular side will usually be right. If your friend picked the other side, you've found something to bring up next time you eat together.
- Either way, one question right or wrong doesn't show how well someone knows you.
You can't choose which Food questions appear. Each quiz draws them at random from the 100 Food questions, and the creator can only swap one for another Food question, picked at random.
