How to Play & FAQ
Rikaido is a free web service for finding out how well your friends really know you, using 2-choice questions. No account, no app to install: you just share a link.
1. Make your quiz
- Tap "Make my quiz" on the home page
- Enter a nickname (it becomes the title of your quiz)
- Choose the number of questions (30, 60, 90, 120 or 150). 30 is a good start
- Answer each 2-choice question the way you really would. Questions come at random from six categories: Food, Love, Fun & Sports, Real Talk, Personality, and Daily Life
- Don't like a question? Tap "🔄 Swap this question" for another one from the same category
- When you reach the end, your quiz is ready and you get a link to share
2. Send it to your friends
On the finish screen, tap "Copy link" or use the share buttons to send the link through your favourite chat app or social network. Only people who have the link can take your quiz.
3. Your friends take the quiz
A friend opens the link, enters a nickname, and starts. They guess which option you chose, question by question, and see right away whether each guess was correct. Correct answers in a row show a combo counter.
4. Reading the results
- Score and title: depending on the number of correct answers, each player gets a title such as "Soulmate" or "Best friend"
- Radar chart by category: shows at a glance which sides of you they understand best, compared with the average of everyone else (the grey dashed line)
- Ranking: where they placed among everyone who took the same quiz
When you open your own quiz link, you see a dashboard with the list of players and the category people understand best.
5. Everyone's answers
Everyone's answers collects the choices of everyone who made a quiz and shows, by category, results such as "cats or dogs?" or "early bird or night owl?". When you make a quiz, your answers join these statistics anonymously.
FAQ
- Is it free?
- Completely free. There is no account to create and no app to install.
- How many people can take my quiz?
- There is no limit. The number of players so far is shown above the ranking. For quizzes with a very large number of players, some records are left out to keep the page fast (top scores are shown first).
- Where can I find the quizzes I made?
- Open the home page on the same device and browser you used to make them, and they appear under "Your quizzes". The list does not carry over to another device, so keep your quiz links somewhere safe.
- Can anyone see my quiz?
- Anyone who has the URL can take it. If you post the URL publicly on social media, strangers can take it too, so control who you share it with.
- Can someone take the same quiz twice?
- Yes. Results from a second attempt are also recorded in the ranking. Note that "cheating" (playing once, learning the answers, then trying again under another name) cannot be prevented, so treat the ranking as a game between friends.
- Can I write my own questions?
- Not at the moment: questions are drawn at random from our own question bank. The main edition covers six categories (Food, Love, Fun & Sports, Real Talk, Personality, Daily Life), and the Love edition uses love and dating questions only. Use the "Swap this question" button to adjust what comes up.
- I want to delete a quiz or a result.
- Contact us on X (@rikaido_me) with the link to the quiz.
- Do quizzes expire?
- No. There is currently no expiry date, and a quiz link keeps working.
- The results don't match how I see the person.
- The correct answers are the ones the quiz creator chose about themselves, so the creator's self-image is the reference. That gap is part of the fun.
- Who runs this site?
- Rikaido is run by an independent developer, Quaqua. News is posted on X (@rikaido_me). See About this site for details.
